Healthier Caramel Dip

Caramel is almost as integral to Halloween as chocolate is. Think about all the candy bars and Halloween desserts that feature a caramel drizzle or filling… hungry yet?


Luckily for y’all wanting something a little healthier for your Halloween parties, I have this vegan and paleo caramel dip that’s perfect for dipping apples, pretzels, you name it!


The best part is that this is only 3 ingredients and takes about 10 minutes total, making it perfect if you’re scrambling last minute this weekend trying to get your party together. If you’re planning on this being your centerpiece, though, I’d double the recipe. Happy dipping everyone!



  • 5 ounces coconut cream
  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • 2-4 tablespoons non-dairy yogurt


In a medium saucepan, bring the coconut cream and the sugar to boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 7-8 more minutes, or until the mixture is thick and coats the back of a spoon. Pull off heat and transfer to another bowl to cool down for 4-5 minutes before adding your non-dairy yogurt–add however much you want for your desired consistency. Let cool completely before serving with pretzels, apple slices or cookies!
